Audax joins other firms seeking to hire restructuring professionals
It may be a good time to brush up on your restructuring and turnaround skills.
Boston-based Audax Group, for example, has opened a search for a restructuring professional to help manage underperforming credits.
The role isn’t a new one. Nor is it part of a new investment strategy for the firm's credit arm, Audax Private Debt, according to a source familiar with the firm. The new hire would join an established workout team focused on monitoring portfolio companies for credit risk and on capital preservation.

With its portfolio of aerospace, defense and government portfolio companies and close ties to government, few PE firms have as much to lose as Washington-based Carlyle Group by antagonizing the anti-DEI administration of President Donald Trump.

Former Blackstone, Goldman Sachs execs to invest in food, hospitality
With 18 or more years of experience each at Blackstone Group, Goldman Sachs and a restructuring advisor called Mackinac Partners, a trio of executives has teamed up to sponsor consolidations in food, beverage and hospitality.
Nathaniel Bristol, Nishant Machado and William Sirignano, founders of New York City-based Elevare Capital Partners, plan to focus on “multiple expansion, EBITDA growth, improved business resiliency, and competitive positioning in the lower middle market,” according to the company Web site. The founders could not be reached for comment as of press time.

Chistopher Ailman said he plans to retire on June 30 as chief investment officer of the California State Teachers' Retirement System. Ailman has served as CIO since October 2000, when the pension fund was valued at $109.6 billion. As of November 30 it was valued at $317.8 billion, thanks in part to strong performance by its private equity portfolio. Ailman's departure continues a string of retirements and departures by leaders of large pensions, according to earlier reporting by Private Equity Career News. Ailman plans to focus his attention on clean energy in the next phase of his career, according to Pensions & Investments.
