Former Audax executive launches West Wheelock Partners
David Goldenheim, a former managing director at Audax Private Equity with experience working with a dental services organization, has started a new investment venture.
Goldenheim, based in Boston, serves as managing partner for lower-middle-market investor and advisor West Wheelock Partners, according to his LinkedIn profile. Goldenheim registered the firm as a limited liability company in Massachusetts in late May.

Tony Meadows, until December a private equity portfolio manager at Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System, has joined Columbus, Ohio based firm Sinefine as a partner, according to his Linkedin profile. Sinefine (pronounced See Nay Fee Nay) was launched in April 2022 by Managing Partner Yasmine Lacaillade to help women-led venture capital firms get off the ground. The firm has five employees listed on its team page.
Odyssey, Audax pick up senior deal-makers
It's rare for a long-established private equity firm to hire a senior deal-maker from another such firm, given the unvested carry often at risk. But both Odyssey Investment Partners and Audax Private Equity managed the feat in recent weeks.
Odyssey Investment Partners, which is investing a $3.25 billion pool closed in 2020 from offices in New York City and Los Angeles, has brought aboard Daniel Zarkowsky as managing principal, head of business development and head of capital markets. Zarkowsky becomes the firm's eighth managing principal, according to the roughly 50-person firm's team page.
