Big Move! Amanda Beck is tapped to serve as director of investor communications at Boston-based buyout firm Parthenon Capital. According to her Linkedin profile, Beck joined the firm in 2013 and most recently served as office manager and research associate.
Lids Sports Group owner Ames Watson, a Columbia, Maryland-based private holding company, is hiring an operating partner to work with portfolio companies. The firm also seeks a portfolio development associate, in-house counsel, senior accountant and staff accountant, according to job ads the firm posted through LinkedIn.
Ryan Bruehlmann, who spent just over 15 years at Boston-based Audax Group, most recently as managing director in its private equity arm, has launched an independent sponsor called Point A Capital.

Barry Griffiths, whose work led to the development of the Direct Alpha method of measuring private equity performance, launches his own research and consulting firm called Private Market Metrics, according to his Linkedin profile. Griffiths most recently served as a partner at Ares Management Corp, which he joined following its 2021 acquisition of his former employer, secondary buyout firm Landmark Partners.

At least four investment professionals at turnaround specialist Transom Capital Group have left this year, including one of three managing partners, James Oh.
Oh, who started working at Transom Capital Group as a principal in 2015, joined Pacific Avenue Capital Partners in July as a partner. Another former managing partner, Ty Schultz, left the firm in 2021 and went on to serve as president at Artica.

One of the industry's highest-profile deal originators, Leon Brujis, has stepped down as partner at Palladium Equity Partners, where he has recently served on the boards of portfolio companies Daniel's Jewelers and Transforce Group.
Brujis (pictured) was recruited to the New York City-based firm in 2007 after working as an analyst at Lehman Brothers. He has focused much of his energy since then on originating deals, first in consumer products and then later in services. In an April 2021 interview with the publisher of Private Equity Career News, Brujis said that he had worked on 16 transactions since joining with a combined value of some $1.2 billion.
