Executive recruiters predict that their services will become more in demand this year, a rise propelled by recent hiring trends playing out across the industry, according to a new survey.
“I do think that now things will begin to pick up, and I think we’re going to see…more robust hiring,” said Alexis Alvarez, founder and managing director of talent search firm Career Rockstars.
The Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association plans to hire an investment officer to oversee its $13 billion private equity portfolio. It's one of several plum pension positions that have opened up on the West Coast in recent months.

Big Move! Amanda Beck is tapped to serve as director of investor communications at Boston-based buyout firm Parthenon Capital. According to her Linkedin profile, Beck joined the firm in 2013 and most recently served as office manager and research associate.
