The former vice president of Thomas H. Lee Partners leads one of several private equity shops newly on our radar this summer. They include Ames, Iowa-based Ames Capital Partners, founded by two ex-executives of San Francisco-based Golden Gate Capital, and Saothair Capital Partners,a Radnor, Pennsylvania-based firm whose managing partner served earlier as a vice president at turnaround firm KPS Capital Partners.
