Benedetto previously served as managing director at private equity, credit and real estate firm Certares Management, where she worked on such investments as Avia Solutions Group, Pyramid Global Hospitality and Tripadvisor.

Joe Dawson tapped to lead PE at NYS Common; to hire two officers
New York State Common Retirement Fund has tapped Joe Dawson to be its new director of private equity following the retirement of Brian Hughes, Private Equity Career News has learned. One of Dawson's first jobs: hiring at least two investment officers to help shape the $29.5 billion PE portfolio.
Dawson has worked for the $268 billion pension fund for more than two decades, most recently serving as deputy director of the PE portfolio. Earlier in his career he served as a senior consultant at Ernst & Young LLP, according to his Linkedin profile. Hughes retired to enjoy "some well earned down time," according to his Linkedin profile, after an eight-year stint at the pension fund.
