NYC seeks PE senior investment officer for retirement systems
New York City is looking for a senior investment officer to help oversee private equity fund investments for its retirement systems, according to a job vacancy notice with the Bureau of Asset Management.
The new senior investment officer will earn $160,000 to $175,000 per year for work that includes evaluating investment opportunities, presenting investment recommendations, tabulating results, managing the portfolio, and designing criteria for research analyses, the job notice stated.
NYC opens search for senior investment officer-private equity
The New York City Office of the Comptroller has launched a search for a senior investment officer to work on an $18.5 billion portfolio of private equity investments.
In this role you would pitch in on the "construction, management and strategic planning" of that portfolio, according to the job description. You'll have a hand in sourcing, evaluating and monitoring investments. You'll work with colleagues to negotiate partnership terms and conditions with fund managers, as well as monitor those fund managers for compliance.
New York City set to pay new PE head $250K to $265K
The New York City Office of the Comptroller seeks a new head of private equity to take over for J. David Enriquez, who is reported to be leaving for a position in the private equity business of Rothschild.
The job is a big one. The Bureau of Asset Management, steward to $250 billion in assets on behalf of five city pension systems, oversees a $16.4 billion private equity portfolio whose allocation has been growing. But the job also pays well. The salary range posted for the position: $250,000 to $265,000.
