Tom Hussey opens a London office for growth equity firm Brighton Park Capital, which has its headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut along with offices located in New York City and San Francisco. Hussey, who most recently spent 12 years working on technology deals at growth equity firm General Atlantic, is charged with leading and expanding the European team.

Ex-Brighton Park, BV execs launch software, tech firms

Two former executives at Brighton Park Capital and BV Investment Partners have, respectively, launched their own PE firms this year with the goal of taking small software and technology companies to the next level.

Jeff Machlin, who left growth equity shop Brighton Park Capital in January, started Greenwich, Connecticut-based Wingman Growth Partners the following month and recently began raising money for a debut fund, a regulatory filing shows. Machlin leads a team of about seven, including Partner Eric Anderson, who previously served as a vice president at software investor Vista Equity Partners.

Brighton Park co-founder jumps to Thomas H. Lee Partners

Technology investor Zachary Güt has left the firm he co-founded three and a half years ago to join Boston buyout firm Thomas H. Lee Partners as a managing director, Private Equity Career News has learned.

From early 2019 to early this year Güt (pictured) served as co-founding partner and member of the investment committee at Greenwich, Connecticut-based software and growth equity investment firm Brighton Park Capital, according to his Linkedin profile.
