Ex-Trilantic exec joins outsourced CIO’s co-invest team

Former Trilantic North America consumer specialist Jennifer Fox Bensimon has joined the co-investment team at outsourced CIO provider Partners Capital in New York City.

Bensimon joins a London-based firm with more than 360 people managing some $60 billion in assets for endowments, foundations, family offices and wealthy investors. As of June the firm was raising money for its seventeenth PE fund of funds, Partners Capital Condor Fund XVII LP. At press-time, the firm was recruiting for several team members, including a private equity investment associate in San Francisco.

From early 2022 to last month Bensimon served as a managing director for New York City-based business and consumer buyout shop Trilantic North America, which has raised $10.9 billion since its launch in 2009. During her tenure there she served as a board member for portfolio company Taymax Group, a Planet Fitness franchisee.

Bensimon could not immediately be reached for comment to learn more about her new role.

Bona Fides: Before joining Trilantic North America Bensimon served as a principal for consumer and retail investor LNK Partners, where she worked from 2015 to 2021. Before that she worked as a private equity analyst for Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.

Partners Capital: Partners Capital offers clients exposure to a variety of asset classes, including private equity, private debt, liquid credit, public equities and real estate. The firm manages about $2.5 billion in co-investments, according to an announcement about Bensimon’s hiring. In 2022 the firm closed its first private equity environmental impact fund, Partners Capital 15 degrees Fund LP, at $143 million.

Career Opportunities: Partners Capital plans to expand its private equity and real estate team of 14, recently posting a job opening for a private equity investment associate. The San Francsico-based job entails due diligence, research, portfolio monitoring and other duties. The position comes with an estimated base salary of about $105,000 to $130,000. The firm also seeks senior investment associates in New York and Boston to help manage client portfolios and develop investment strategies.
